They helped me get back on my feet and reminded me that I wasn’t alone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen I announced that I was pregnant with my daughter, that same community surrounded us with love once again, showering us with gifts from all over the world. When she was born, we faced some scary moments, and the ukulele family still showed up for us —this time not just for me, but for us as a family.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo when the lovely people at Ohana approached me with the idea of creating a custom ukulele inspired by my journey, I wanted it to represent that deep sense of community. We talked about how to make it special. They suggested the beautiful Koa wood, I suggested the turquoise embellishments, and shared my love of flowers, but the final result absolutely took my breath away.
