"When I started my search for a new ukulele I hadn’t considered a custom instrument until I saw a demonstration of an Ohana custom ukulele. After discussing options with the Ohana team I decided on a design that honored my California heritage. I grew up near the Giant Sequoia redwood groves of the Sierra and the vast agricultural region of the San Joaquin Valley so I selected for the primary woods California redwood burl and California black walnut. To complete the California theme I requested California poppies on the fret board. The instrument turned out exactly as I had envisioned and it’s a true pleasure to play!"

"This Live Edge tenor is one of the latest super cool ukuleles from Brad, Ohana's Custom luthier. The fretboard is insane the way it blends into the body and around the live edge. The claro walnut and burled redwood are killer, the handmade kerfing is super cool. The sound hole has a nose of a thick smokey campfire (if you smell the hole). It feels great to play, comfortable and smooth. The sound is smooth and clear, the low-G is centered over the off-center live edge to give it great low end. This tenor is a beautiful instrument. "WOW! I don't know if I'm only saying this because it's my custom ukulele but this may very well be the best sounding Ohana I've ever played. I'm glad we went with the redwood/spruce combo. Rarely does an ukulele sound this good literally right out of the box. I played it for about an hour and it's very inspiring to play. I'm now excited to take this instrument on the road and I can't wait to share it with audiences. Aesthetically...it's unique and different, and I feel that it represents who I am in the ukulele community.
