Description
This special instrument features select solid Port Orford Cedar, also known as white cedar, finished in high gloss. Nicely linear and compactly grained, Port Orford Cedar has been a favorite of luthiers and niche builders, especially when paired with a complimentary set of back and sides.
Speaking of back and sides, this instrument sure has some stunners. Richly flamed and figured solid Maple pairs so well with the Port Orford cedar top in both a physical and auditory sense -- we know you'll find this OCS Deluxe Tenor easy to fall in love with.
Elegant, sparkling abalone inlay purfling decorates the top, back, and rosette, while a custom lower bookplate in dark tonewood connects to the bottom purfling, and wraps around the bottom.
OCS designed fretboard markers in a modern style mark the 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th, and 15th frets, making sure you know just where to land your fingers during complicated chord progressions. Abalone adorned bridge pins keeps minimal tension on the soundboard, ensuring you'll have many years of playing this fine OCS tenor instrument.
Gotoh UK-700 tuners ensure bringing your strings into pitch is always a joy and never a chore.
